Potent Immune Boosting Elixir
Ingredients
- 2L coconut water
- 150g fresh ginger peeled and sliced into thin discs
- 50g ground turmeric or 100g fresh peeled turmeric, sliced into thin discs
- 6 lemons juiced
- 1-2 tsp cayenne pepper
- Big pinch black pepper
- 2-3 tablespoons Manuka honey or maple syrup
Optional: -2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Method
1. Add 1L of coconut water and the peeled ginger (and fresh turmeric if using) to a high-powered blender. Blend on high for 60 seconds
2. Pour mixture into a medium saucepan.
3. Add the rest of the coconut water, ground turmeric, cayenne pepper (amount depending on love of spiciness) and black pepper.
4. Bring to the boil and then simmer on low heat for 20 minutes.
5. Add in the lemon juice and honey (and apple cider vinegar if using).
6. Allow to cool.
7. Pour into a large jug or individual serving jars.
8. Store in the fridge for up to a week
